I was born in an area where soft drink cans, plastic bottled water, and cheap clothing appeared very late on the market.
At first, we were happy recycling without knowing what it was called. Entire East European populations were amazed to finally have extra containers for tomato sauce and pickles and match clothes like in the movies, but adding the garden boots and later influencing Berlin´s fashion scene.
Only after the 90s did commercial waste begin to disturb the view and gradually become present in the environment to the point of completely contaminating the rivers.
Meanwhile, the water and waste crisis has become a global problem, showing that human consumption and specific commercial activities influence group behavior and are damaging the ecosystem.

Al principio éramos felices reciclando sin siquiera saber que así se llama. Poblaciones enteras de Europa del Este estaban asombradas de tener finalmente recipientes adicionales para salsa de tomate y encurtidos.
Sólo después de los años 90 los residuos comerciales empiezan a perturbar la vista y van haciendo una presencia progresiva en el medio ambiente hasta el punto de contaminar completamente los ríos.
