After Dr. Radu discovered the formula for the artificial blood, Dracula steps out of his solitude and starts to get involved, to humanize himself, to care. In this process of transformation, the monster becomes funny instead of scary.
The ex-vampire has a travel friend: Umbra Mirabelei, a feminine character, who´s special power is not as obvios and her monster friends are helping her find strength, to discover herself. I created Umbra Mirabelei as a reminder of the lost cinematic past that Transilvanian region had. The first animated film I have ever seen as a child, in the ´80 was ¨Maria Mirabela¨, film director -the wonderful Ion Popescu Gopo.
