While surfing the Internet, in 2024 I was a little shocked to learn, that people from different cultures do not know about the existence or content of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights or even have an opinion opposed to the idea of rights.
I would say that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is the best effort for peace because it is focused on the protection of the individual. Since each of us is an individual, each of us needs to feel safe and have access to development.
At the beginning of the new year, I realized that it is not clear to humans who inhabit this planet that water is a human right, even if just like food and shelter, it represents basic human needs.

Our organisms cannot live without water, so it is not an optional facility. If access to water is not provided in your area, that´s practically a violation of human rights.
Quote from the Universal Declaration signed by the majority of the countries from this world: "The human right to water entitles everyone to sufficient, safe, acceptable, physically accessible and affordable water for personal and domestic use."
Selling water has become a habit, but in fact it is a dubious existing business, and against universal rights. I wonder who is so uninspired to allow themselves such an aporophobic action of making the essence of life an exclusive product?!
I was born in a transit zone, at the gates of Europe, and water and food for the road have been considered normal since the dawn of time, for human travelers and their animal companions. There are fountains installed on the roads that pass near the villages, along the fruit trees, and I can now see by comparing cultures that the approach of the Transilvanian culture towards travelers is a civilized way of understanding and supporting life.
It is extremely sad to see that people are so confused that they do not recognize basic needs and do not come together to fight to satisfy them, and when groups even mobilize to impose inequality in basic human needs, on the idea that some deserve them and others do not, it seems frightening.
Water is a human right, therefore applying ecological and inclusion measures is undoubtedly and without ulterior motives something to always consider worth fighting for.
