Expressions related to the Red Riding Hood tale appear everywhere, and even if they have the same meaning, the conceptual perception might vary.
Saliendo de la boca del lobo—According to the Spanish understanding of the concept, we use this saying when someone exposes themselves to danger, often unwittingly. We also use it to say that a person has fallen into a trap or will face a problem without realizing it.
Spanish meaning is concentrated on the trap than on the solution and this is just a comparative linguistics observation, not at all a critique.
In Romanian, on the other hand, the same expression has a different approach.
A scăpa (ca) din gura lupului - To escape (as) from the mouth of the wolf = to save oneself from a very difficult situation, a synonym for To escape as through the eyes of a needle.
In Italian, in Bocca al Lupo it´s a good luck wish used in the performance world. Break a leg! Kind of reminds the masked people of the mountains, those wearing wolf skin called Haiduci.
