Underground Snowflake

Fulg de Nea

Here's a photo of the transit as I'm using the subway to reach hungry people, sleeping outside faster, since the weather has been rather harsh these past few weeks.

The decorative snowflake is handmade and represents a powerful, ancestral, pre-Christian motif.

Scientifically speaking, each snowflake is unique, and its complex design, though fragile, melting, and easily disappearing, has inspired the observation, drawing, and reproduction of its structure and aesthetic in textile art. This symbol has traveled from culture to culture, inspiring ideas of transcendence.

If its meaning is sometimes different, it's simply a transfer error, a matter of linguistic adaptation, due to mistranslation or misinterpretation.

A snowflake transforms, and in some ancient cultures, this ability to change from one material state to another, as a natural element, is deeply respected and enjoyed. Watching a snowflake fall and contemplating its structure and movement for a moment is an incredible, fairytale-like experience.
