Masked Women Blue

Baby Blue by Bronik

Trapped by the patriarchy, women specialized in wearing masks to defend themselves, adapting constantly to social demands.

Until recently, nobody asked who they are deep inside, or whether they live a fulfilling life; we assumed that once someone "takes care of them" and has a family, they should simply be happy.

Until recently, a woman kissing another woman was a systemic offense, when in fact, once compared to the options, it is the best you can do.

Until recently, women were hiding; some still do.
Until recently, women were silenced, sold, and robbed of identity, and that´s the truth.
Until recently, women were asked to love, to give constantly, and shamed when feeling blue.

We play the background, the secondary character, but control the birth and beat, may I remind you!

Transmitted knowledge, masked textile patterns from the past, confronting gaze towards the conflictual present, emphatic warriors for justice and truth.
