December Sunbath

Eyes shut down,
laying in the sun,
It´s the end of the week and they hurt.

The visual system is at rest,
the ears take over,
decode sounds,
stimulate neural connections,
even generate images.

Once opened,
the eyes measure the entire visual field
and record the movement.

Today there was a constant wind blowing,
whole trees are moving.
