Inclusion Matters

Since my accident, I have become even more aware of the importance of access to natural sensory stimulation. The impossibility of moving is absolutely depressing, and not having access to shared spaces feels dehumanizing. Therefore, an intervention plan to support the mind so that it can help the body is imperative, and by this, I'm referring to dopaminergic stimulation.

As a Psychopedagogue, I'm aware of the possibilities and positive effects of interacting with nature, and I perceive the beach as a wonderful environment for sensory stimulation.

In this environment, recovery methods are implicit, such as playing with the sand, watching the waves, or feeling the water. An open view and the wind moving your hair and touching your skin are precious experiences for anyone. Still, for those with mobility problems, access to the natural environment is essential.

To increase the aspect of autonomy, socially speaking, how we get there, adapted public transport ♿️ and the adapted beach, ready to receive and support, are essential aspects of a functional inclusion plan.

Also, there is a toilet nearby adapted to wheelchair users, and a 🚿, basic conditions to enjoy the 🌊

Some extra shade would be great from my point of view, and 2 parallel bars towards the sea, and much more; besides that, it's a nice recuperation area.

It´s in inclusive environments like these that development can be reached, and not just the personal one. If, during your vacations, the ♿sign is not appearing everywhere, in public spaces, then that´s a destination to avoid, as it does not respect its people.

Inclusive spaces are a delight, and health aspects concern all of us.
