¨While your profile is certainly impressive, we felt it wasn’t the ideal match for the role at this time.¨

(No worries, next time I might be dead already and save you the effort of sending an email.)

This is a common email I receive immediately after applying for a job, where I have 4+ years of experience and don't get to compete. In applying for years to certain companies, the dynamic is the same, with no possibility to compete or be included in the recruiting process.

¨we felt it wasn’t the ideal match¨, it´s a phrase I would take out from the emails, as in a recruiting process, the steps are so strict and clear, that we don´t feel, we test, analyze, and include.

In Spanish, I´m discarded from the recruiting process with emails like this:

¨tu perfil no se ajusta en estos momentos a la posición¨ My profile is not ok for the job, even if my profile is so strong, that not being included in the recruiting process is strange for the company I´m applying to, not for me.

And the list goes on. I apply in 3 languages during a week, therefore I have 3 non-inclusive vocabulary extracts from the companies that are out there, using your data and time, but not allowing to participate.

How is your company planning a recruiting process, and who is excluded by default?

I have worked in claims in all European markets, and I´m a profiler, as per my university education. I know how to observe, take notes, fill in forms, and troubleshooting, make case studies, and formulate claims in 5 languages. You can deliberately let me die of hunger, but nobody can demonstrate that I´m not a match. Au contraire, I have been declared an asset too many times to doubt my performance capacity, in any field I might touch.
