We often use terminology that is inconvenient. Being born in a small town or village, or coming from an archaic region, is not a developmental disadvantage; on the contrary, it can define one's personality in a unique way.
I'm starting a discussion about outdated terminology: "insular thinking," "rural thinking," and "countryside thinking" are stigmatizing terms.
In urban areas, even in the largest cities, people can develop the same kind of mindset—a closed-minded one, and as we can observe and measure, the colonialist mindset is a big issue.
