Storytelling and Slogan for Diversity and Inclusion: Oana Maroti

This pasteup art—while a bit rough around the edges—is one of the posters Daniela Cristina Gagiu created for our Bd de buda project; it’s a slogan about diversity and inclusion.
I am proud of the slogan "Tu culo es la música." This was my first creation in Spanish, and I was studying Hispanic culture and languages at my 2nd university. By this, I want to be clear with you that for apparent nonsense, we prepare a lot.
Although it might seem simple to come up with, it is actually the result of a combination of things: knowing the broken Spanish spoken by my migrant-worker family; studying inclusive strategies and diversity-focused planning during my university years; and listening to hip-hop since the 90s—a genre rich in social poetry.
Rooted in the premise that we are equal at the most fundamental level, this slogan aims to highlight both the similarities we share and the fact that each of us is unique.
Access to basic services—such as the simple comfort of a toilet and a shower—remains a global issue, even in major host cities. Beyond health considerations, the human rights perspective, and women's implicit right to be recognized as fully human, "Tu culo es la música" is a slogan of emotional support. It makes people smile.
We had many incredible problems with this comics project as it's badly understood. It's a collaboration between Psychology and Arts for Human Rights. The underground format and trash art presentation were necessary since we also speak and visually define personal space, a concept that waits to be debated.
Install equity! Personal space! Social hygiene. Housing!
Access to basic needs should not be that difficult.
