There is Poetry in Public Transport and Accessibility

Train Art – Underground Planning 1 by Oana Maroti

Public Transport Poetry

Transport accessibility is part of an Inclusive Planning approach; I would add that, for many of us, the cost of travel poses a real challenge.

This is about accessibility linked to mobility—with transport adapted for wheelchairs—but also financial accessibility: affordable fares, or even free travel, for those unable to afford train tickets, as well as for workers and job seekers.

Trains share a connection with sequential art: comics, film, and animation; it is therefore only natural to see them transformed into painted artworks, offering the visual delight of incredible compositions along the tracks.

Beyond the visual impact—that of a large-scale work of art in motion—these projects could serve as paid intervention initiatives of prevention.
